NebulaTor

A CN3D-designed upgrade for the BIQU/BTT Nebula Extruder, developed around improved filament handling, sensing, serviceability, and an integrated cutter system.

Files coming soon: documentation is public now, STL files are planned next, and CAD/STEP files will follow only after final validation.

Why NebulaTor Is Being Revealed Now

NebulaTor is not being presented as a finished hidden product drop. It is being opened as a public CN3D project hub while the final files move through validation.

Testing the Original Nebula Extruder

CN3D received and tested the Nebula Extruder, then quickly began looking at practical ways to improve it for real use.

Finding the Upgrade Path

The work focused on areas that matter during use and troubleshooting: filament handling, filament sensing, service access, cutting control, and internal mechanical behavior.

CN3D Redesign Work

CN3D began redesigning the system as an upgrade around the Nebula Extruder rather than a separate unrelated extruder.

BIQU/BTT Collaboration Context

BIQU/BTT later approached CN3D about developing the upgrade together. CN3D handles the design and development side, while BIQU/BTT is intended to manufacture the upgrade.

A Longer Development Process

The collaboration and development process took much longer than expected. CN3D no longer wants to keep the project hidden until every file is finalized.

Staged Public Release

The project is being revealed in stages: public documentation first, STL files next, and CAD files after final validation. No release dates are being promised.
