Precision filament cutter
The project integrates an Olfa Japan blade system for controlled filament cutting. Final cutter fasteners remain under validation.
A CN3D-designed upgrade for the BIQU/BTT Nebula Extruder, developed around improved filament handling, sensing, serviceability, and an integrated cutter system.
Files coming soon: documentation is public now, STL files are planned next, and CAD/STEP files will follow only after final validation.

NebulaTor is a CN3D-designed upgrade for the BIQU/BTT Nebula Extruder. It keeps the Nebula Extruder foundation and focuses the redesign on real service problems: filament handling, sensing, troubleshooting access, and cutting control.
The project integrates an Olfa Japan blade system for controlled filament cutting. Final cutter fasteners remain under validation.
The original sensor before the gears remains, and NebulaTor adds sensing after the gears so the filament path can be understood more clearly.
The idler door was redesigned to make filament handling and service access easier than the stock arrangement.
The design exposes more of the working path and gives builders clearer checks for troubleshooting movement, preload, and sensing.
The project includes internal mechanical changes around the drive path, idler, cutter, and gear area.
The latest local CAD revision improved gear meshing between the two gears; the CAD itself is not public yet.
Repository material references a new PCB with support for the added sensing path. Final PCB release status is still pending.
The exploded view shows the project as a complete extruder upgrade rather than a cosmetic shell: body, lever, gears, PCB, motor area, front cover, inserts, and fasteners all work around the filament path.
