ℹ️
Why this matters: Temperature has the biggest impact on print quality and strength. The right temperature improves layer adhesion, reduces defects and ensures consistent results.
1
Follow These Steps🔪
Slice the temperature tower
Use 5–10°C increments. Example: 250°C down to 220°C.
🖨️
Print the tower
Keep fan speed, flow and speed the same as your real prints.
👁️
Evaluate each temperature
Check layer adhesion, overhangs, stringing and surface quality.
✅
Choose the best range
Select the temperature with the best balance of quality and strength.
⭐ Pro Tip
Always verify your choice with a functional print, not just a test model.

Typical range 195–215°C. Higher = better adhesion, more stringing.

What to Look For🔗
Layer Adhesion
Check the strength between layers. Look for sections that don't break easily. This is more important than surface appearance.
🧵
Stringing
Too hot = more stringing. Find the lowest temp with minimal stringing — but don't sacrifice layer adhesion for it.
✨
Surface Quality
Look for smooth, consistent surfaces without blobs or zits. Should be uniform across the segment.
🌉
Bridging & Overhangs
Better overhangs with the right temperature. Too hot can droop, too cold can under-extrude.
💪
Strength
The best temperature is not always the cleanest tower. Prioritize layer adhesion and strength over appearance.
⊗Common Mistakes
⊗Printing the tower too fast — use your normal print speed
⊗Judging only by stringing — layer adhesion matters more
⊗Ignoring layer adhesion for visual quality
⊗Using different cooling settings from real prints
⊗Choosing the cleanest-looking tower instead of the strongest
⭐Pro Tip
The best looking section is not always the best printing temperature.
Always balance:
