First multicolor print
The goal of the first print is not beauty. The goal is to prove that every gate loads, unloads, parks and changes color reliably.
1. Create a separate MMX printer profile in Orca
Open OrcaSlicer. Duplicate your known-good single-filament printer profile. Rename the copy clearly, for example:
SV08 Max - MMX Voron 2.4 - MMX My Printer - MMX MMU
Do not edit your normal daily profile. Keep one clean single-filament profile and one MMX profile.
2. Create MMX filament profiles
Duplicate the filament profiles you want to use and add an MMX prefix. This makes it obvious which profiles are tuned for MMU use.

3. Start with a simple two-color model
Use a small model with only two colors. Avoid long prints, complex purge strategy or many color changes until loading is reliable.
4. Check the generated G-code before printing
After slicing, open the G-code file and search for tool changes. Confirm the file is using the Happy Hare/MMU flow you expect, not random manual filament-change behavior.
5. Run the first print slowly
Stay next to the printer. Watch the first load, first unload and first color change. Be ready to pause if filament does not reach the toolhead sensor or a gate does not release correctly.
6. Tune purge only after motion is reliable
Do not tune purge while gates are still unreliable. First fix loading, parking, sensor states and grinding. Then reduce or increase flushing volume based on real color bleed.
After a successful first print

When the MMX loads, unloads and prints reliably, submit your build proof and request an official MMX OG serial number.
